PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE. IT CONSTITUTES PART OF YOUR CONTRACT FOR TRAVEL RELATED SERVICES PROVIDED BY GOING PLACES TRAVEL, INC., AND OUR AFFILIATES, UNIVERSAL TRAVEL AND DANVILLE TRAVEL. PLEASE CHECK YOUR DOCUMENTS WHEN YOU RECEIVE THEM FOR ACCURACY INCLUDING THE CORRECT SPELLING OF ALL TRAVELERS FULL NAME, YOUR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DATES AND ALL DETAILS PERTAINING TO YOUR TRIP. CALL THE TRAVEL AGENCY IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU DISCOVER ANY ERRORS. MOST ERRORS CAN BE FIXED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF TICKETING WITHOUT PENALTY OR EXTRA CHARGES/FEES. MOST DISCOUNT FARES INVOLVE RESTRICTIONS. CHANGING CARRIERS OR FLIGHTS COULD RESULT IN THE AIRLINE DEMANDING AN INCREASED FARE. CHECK WITH THE AIRLINE OR THE TRAVEL AGENCY BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES.
Going Places Travel, Inc. dba, Going Places Travel, Universal Travel and Danville Travel, (herein "Travel Agency"), State of California Seller of Travel #2144999-40, is acting only as an agent for travel suppliers in selling travel-related services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by this Travel Agency (such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, cruises, etc.). Travel Agency, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers' companions or group members including but not limited to financial losses, bodily harm and potentially loss of life.
Unless the term "guaranteed" is specifically stated in writing on your tickets, invoice, or reservation itinerary, Travel Agency does not guarantee any of such supplier's rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of baggage or other personal effects. Travelers have done their own due diligence, are aware of the quality of the hotel accommodations chosen, and agree that the travel agency will not be responsible if they are not satisfied.
Risks, Cancellations and Insurance
Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases Travel Agency from any duty of checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety and security conditions of such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. It is the traveler’s responsibility to have proper passports or government issued IDs where permitted. Travel Agency shall not be responsible for any injuries, losses or damages in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or structural integrity of air, sea, and ground transportation and accommodations, diseases, local laws, terrorists acts, bankruptcy or cessation of supplier or carrier services, climatic conditions, Acts of God, delays, changes or cancellation of travel due to weather conditions, hotel services, accidents or health related problems before or while in-transit to (e.g., an accident on the way to a tour), during, and after a tour, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside of Travel Agency’s control.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to protect their purchases and Travel Insurance is strongly recommended. The traveler is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against these risks; information is available through our travel agents or you may find more information regarding Travel Insurance here.
Traveler's retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute consent to the above and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.If travel plans are delayed or cancelled for any reason, there will be no refunds issued by Travel Agency.
Travel Agency shall use its best efforts to obtain refunds from the travel suppliers within the stated terms and conditions of the travel supplier only. Travel Agency has no control over travel suppliers terms and conditions and Travel Agency will abide by those terms and conditions.
There will be no refunds for cancellations made 90 days or less before departure unless clearly stated by the travel supplier.
There will be no refunds due to fear of travel from actual or threatened terrorist events, civil unrest, strike, acts of war, pandemic or any other perceived dangers on the part of the traveler. It is for these reasons that we strongly suggest travel insurance to protect your travel investment.
By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of the above risks as well as possible travel industry bankruptcies and medical and climatic disruptions, and the possibility traveler may be unable to travel as scheduled because of personal emergency.
Going Places Travel, Inc. is a participant in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC) - State of California Seller of Travel #2144999-40.
It is understood that registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California. Passengers from outside of California are not eligible to participate in the TCRF (California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund). California law requires that consumer funds handled by the registered seller of travel (in this case Going Places Travel, Inc.) be deposited in a trust or escrow account. Going Places Travel, Inc. has a trust account with a major bank, and consumer/passenger funds are deposited in that account and withdrawn in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
You, the passenger, may request reimbursement from TCRC if you are owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services which was not refunded in a timely manner by a seller of travel who was registered and participating in the TCRC at the time of sale. The maximum amount which may be paid by the TCRC to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000. A claim must be submitted to the TCRC within 6 months after the scheduled completion date of the travel. The claim must include sufficient information and documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee. You must agree to waive your right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a claim with the TCRC, if you were located in California at the time of the sale. California law requires certain sellers of travel to have a trust account or bond. This business has a trust account. Upon cancellation of the transportation or travel services, where you, the customer, are not at fault and have not canceled in violation of the terms and conditions, if any, of the contract for transportation or travel services, all sums paid to this Travel Agency for services not received by you will be promptly refunded by this Travel Agency unless you otherwise advise this Travel Agency in writing. Consumers not located in California are not covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. You are not eligible to file a claim against the fund in the event of a Travel Agency/Supplier default.
